<p>I. Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev ascended the throne twice. His years of exile in Byzantium gave him experience in diplomacy. He took Antalya and launched the Seljuks into the sea; trade revenues increased. After his brother's quarrels, he tried to rally the state. He died during the battle of Alasehir in 1211. Maritime trade and port policy changed the Anatolian Seljuk economy.Keyhüsrev is described as an open-minded and urban sultan type. His sons paved the way for the era of Keykavus and Keykubad.</p>
