<p>I. Kılıç Arslan revived the Anatolian Seljuk. He retook Nicaea and fought against the Crusaders, inflicting heavy losses on the first irregular wave of Crusaders in 1096; in 1097 the capital of Nicaea shifted towards Konya; in 1101 his defeat of the three Crusader armies separately increased his fame. He died in the Habur Stream in 1107 during the Mosul campaign. He was a brave, lively and field commander sultan.It plays a major role in the permanence of the Turkish presence in Anatolia. He is one of the names who led the first serious contact with the crusaders. The name Kılıç Arslan is associated with resistance and re-establishment.</p>
