<p>Çelebi Mehmed re-established the state from the Fetret Period. After the struggle with the brothers, he achieved unity in Edirne. He suppressed the riots and repaired the timar order. He was a simple and cautious ruler. The Green Complex in Bursa reflects his understanding of zoning. It is largely his work that saved the Ottoman Empire from extinction. He left a recovering country to his son, Murad II. This is why the title of "second founder" is attributed.</p>
